First impressions

I've finally got round to posting a blog!

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the induction day with everyone else, because of my foot, so I managed to get to Middlesex on Monday for a brief introduction with Alan Durrant.

I'm feeling really excited about this course. When I was studying for the diploma, I felt that a lot of the work we covered was not really relevant to me - a lot of it was based on Contemporary dance, whereas I am more focused on Musical Theatre. I can't wait to get started on projects relevant to me and my career.

I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on anything in particular that I missed at the group induction - I've had a look through everyone else's blogs, and I must say, it's comforting to see a few names from Hammond that I know - makes everything seem slightly less daunting!

Any comments or feedback woud be gratefully received!
Must press on with task one!

  1. Hello Ellie. At induction day we had an overview of what the course is about and then did a bit more focused work on our first module WBS3002. The tutors will probably be able to give you more specific info. I'm sorry to hear about your foot. I'm in a simular situation at the moment. I graduated this summer but am currently recovering from knee surgery which has put me out of action for a while. It is very frustrating not being able to put my training into action, but I believe that, once recovered, I can throw myself back into the industry and persue professional work.
